NorsevictoryNot really. "No man ASKED (past tense - as it has already happened / happening now) for this pressure
Asdsaaas@Norsevictory How interesting it is, when you analyze something to understand it. Now I can understand Queen David Bowie a little more.
Asdsaaashahaha
NorsevictorySongs are great to use - but you need to go deeper into the meaning of the words - the symbolism behind the words - it is not cut and dry
Norsevictorybest way to figure out what the artist is meaning by the words - usually I google "Under Pressure Queen lyrics meaning" (insert any song / artist )
Asdsaaas@Norsevictory Norse, you were talking about the meaning of the words. ASK FOR, does it have the common meaning of "to ask" or does it mean something else?
NorsevictoryIn a general sense yes, but you could use other words that are similar but slightly different meaning : call for, request, solicit, etc
NorsevictorySolicit would probably be the best meaning - as it is similar "to seek" You do not want to "seek" the pressure that is being put on you
Asdsaaas@Norsevictory Great definition, Norse. Curiously, I was researching on the internet the expression you used "Cut and dried" originally referred to herbs from herbalists... hahaha .... interesting, everything has an explanation.
NorsevictoryWelcome to entomology and colloquialisms that every country has ;)

Asdsaaas@Norsevictory Yes, and curiously in the forum it said that it was even from the year 1680.
